Author exposed to the Louvre in Paris, belonging to the circle of Antoine Caron, collaborated with him in the creation of a cycle of tapestries then donated to Catherine of the doctors. The work at auction is a suitable example, in tones and ways, of the Fontainebleau school. Most likely it must also have been realized in greater format.
