Jacopo's rural and pastoral pictorial production constitutes the most peculiar and characterizing part of all his production. In the Venetian school there are examples of pastoral scenes such as with Giorgione and later with Titian, Bassano does just this genre.
The canvases he paints are realistic and authentic, full of genuine naturalness and have a perception of rural life as it really unfolded. Men and animals crowd his compositions, representations of a reality with which he was in contact, typical of his province to which he was linked all his life, painting from life, eluding the stylistic conventions of the time and creating a new pictorial genre. & Nbsp;
