Sergio Scatizzi was a painter and poet from Lucca. After a stay in Naples in which he had a first training at the Posillipo school, he moved to Rome where he met Mario Mafai and Antonietta Raphael. His pictorial production suffered a setback when he participated in the Second World War. Upon his return, he participates in group exhibitions in his homeland and establishes links with artists such as Ardengo Soffici and Filippo de Pisis.
