Luigi di Giovanni stands out for his training in many artistic realities in Italy at the end of the nineteenth century. It is with his father that he learns to draw and engrave, then going to perfect himself, between 1873 and 1882, in Naples at the workshop of the painter Domenico Morelli. between 1875 and 1877, while still young, he was present in the most important exhibitions on a national level.
