Aldo Riso was a 20th century painter from Lecce. Born in 1927 in Santa Maria di Leuca, he studied law and at the same time studied painting techniques in particular watercolor. He has exhibited in various cities in Italy but also in Paris, Barcelona, Athens, Philadelphia, Berlin, Vienna, Cologne, Toronto, New York, Buenos Aires. In the seventies he was invited to create a large aUstica mural. His artistic production is characterized by a strong preference for a landscape composed of almost transparent light tones. His works are characterized by the presence of houses, boats, fishermen, clear and crystalline skies, typical of his Puglia and more generally of southern Italy. Aldo Riso died in Rome in 2008.
