Alexandre Jacques Chantron was a French painter of the mid-nineteenth century. Originally from Nantes, after completing his studies & nbsp; he moved to Paris to begin his career as a painter under the guidance of François-Édouard Picot, Tony Robert-Fleury and William-Adolphe Bouguereau. In his works they mainly depict portraits and nudes and he also tried his hand at photography which was increasingly establishing itself in those years. & Nbsp; & nbsp;
