It all stems from an eccentric passion for the prickly pear, capable of offering a magical scenic backdrop to Sicily. It is this suggestion that inspired the extravagant Piante di Pezza by Elio Chiarenza who, with flair, refinement and irony, selects and combines the highly sought-after fabrics with which he creates each "Pala". The shovels are prepared individually, cut, sewn, filled and then left overnight to take shape, before being composed and combined with each other. The white vase in which they are placed is filled with small and glittering black lava pumice stones from Etna and is designed to be placed in a cache pot that adapts to your decor and that highlights the character of the Pezza plant. The button, in mother-of-pearl for the most precious ones, is hand-sewn to sign each work. The plants, completely handmade, are therefore Unique works, all dissimilar to each other but all icons of a new Sicilian spirit, made of irony, memory and contamination.
