Joseph Farquharson

(Edimburgo, 1846 - Finzean, 1935)

Among the most important Scottish painters, a pupil of Peter Graham and Duran, he was inspired by Barbizon. Cited in the world's most important dictionary of painting, the Oxford Benezit, many of his works are now exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts and the National Galleries of Scotland. Famous, above all, for his paintings of very colorful and realistic forest landscapes. This is an oil on canvas, in an important frame.
