Messinese by birth, Egypt has established an intimate and profound relationship with his land of origin, Sicily, converting it into his artistic muse.

Allowing himself to be inspired from the warm colors of the island, the uncultivated vegetation and the savory Mediterranean Sea, Eligio Egypt has given shape and soul to numerous pictorial works. His paintings are sagacious tributes to Sicily, of which he has captured every facet, from its inhabitants, rough like the earth warmed by the sun, to the juicy and sweet fruits typical of the island.
